HELP
Foundation, in collaboration with CII Foundation, conducted an awareness
programme in Ghat Palhalan, Baramulla. The participants were briefed about the livelihood
programme, its need and benefits.
The
programme was organised to aware the participants about the rehabilitation
programme and its benefits and need for livelihood support. The participants
were further briefed on the necessity of sustainable livelihood, which enable
the people to cope with and recover from shocks and stresses (such as natural disasters)
and enhance their well-being. HELP Foundation believes in helping individuals
live a life of dignity. HELP’s approach to livelihood includes reducing
economic and social vulnerability by enhancing employability, skill-building
and vocational guidance to help increasing income and earning potential.
This livelihood programme involves the people whose livelihoods are affected. This
programme identifies the priorities and goals defined by people themselves to
support their own livelihoods strategies. This initiative includes a
comprehensive set of services aimed at reducing hardships, enabling access and
facilitating better returns.
